Defending Jesus Against Ouadiani's Claim The Ever Living Miracle Of The Prophet & The Standard Of Wisdom

God aided His prophets with miracles to show His Omnipotent powers. The miracles are those acts which no power on earth of men or of Jinn can demonstrate. The human wisdom just fails to reason their commission, as the miracles are acts of that Power Who is above all causes. Whereas the human intelligence is confined to cause and reason.

The very purpose of the miracle is:

  1. To know that God the Unique is the Maker and Creator of sky and earth and all in between.
  2. To know that He is the master of destinies of mankind.
  3. To believe in Him and in His prophets, and in life after death after Resurrection.
  4. To distinguish an impostor from a prophet.
  5. To know His prophet as guide in all matters of life.
  6. To surrender unconditionally to the guidance of His prophet (and not to any one else) whether such obedience stands to cause or reason or not.

For the guidance of mankind God favoured Muhammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) with numerous most astonishing and amazing miracles, like the splitting of the moon, the raising of dead, curing the blind, the gushing forth of water by the Prophet's fingers, the weeping of palm tree trunk on separation from the Prophet, the stones bearing testimony to the prophet-hood of Muhammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam), his bodily ascent to seven heavens, etc., etc., (the books of traditions are full of the details of numerous miracles of Muhammad (peace be on him). But among those miracles one is ever living miracle, and that is the Quran, the Holy Book, the revelation from God to Muhammad His Prophet, which is other than the Prophet's sayings, and that shall ever remain on the face of the earth with its original text, yes original text as the Muslims believe that the translation of the Quran is not revelation, as translation can never communicate the spirit of the Message of the original text. The miracles of all the pro phets ended, but this miracle endowed to Muhammad (sallallaho alaihi wasallam) shall always gleam on the face of the world. The Quran Is miracle as it challenged the mankind and Jinn to produce a single surah like it:

"And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witnesses beside God if ye are truthful." (2/23)

During the time of the Prophet the Arabs had mastery in Arabic literature. They could produce any number of verses at the spur of the moment. So they were given an open challenge that if they think that any one other than God could inspire a revelation in such a noble language, then they should produce their evidence, but they failed, however, they were told:

"And if ye do it not- and ye can never do it- (i.e. can never produce a surah) then guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones." (2/24)

The living miracle which was given to Muhammad the Apostle of God is still an open challenge to all in the world, to produce a small surah like in the Holy Quran. It is also told that the disbelievers of Islamic faith will have their permanent abode in the Fire. This living miracle (the Quran) guided us to the guide (Muhammad) who is guided by One who is Predominant and is never vanquished. Our knowledge is an insignificant speck before God's knowledge. And, therefore, we could be guided by the one who knew the known and the unknown. The Muslims have surrendered unconditionally admitting the Quran and the guidance*1 of the Prophet through his Hadith and his practical life which is called the Holy Prophet's pattern*2, and they know it as standard of wisdom. God enlightened the human wisdom with the light of revelation, Hadith and the Prophet's pattern enlightens our spirits by teaching us how to act on the revelations. This guiding force is leading the Muslims from the last 1400 years in all walks of life, serving as a standard of wisdom and a touch stone to test every problem of modernism on it. Because God has perfected the wisdom given to mankind through Islam:

"This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." (5/3)

All the possible advancements which the modern world shall make till Doomsday are in God's knowledge, and with that knowledge God perfected the religion i.e. to say that Islamic injunctions will cover and solve all the problems arising out of modern development. The non-Muslims utterance that Islam had come fourteen hundred years before and now the conditions have changed is as good as to say that God's wisdom is imperfect. Every problem, old or modern will be solved on the touch stone of Islamic order formed on the foundation of ever-living miracle and its exposition (Hadith). Islamic order is the greatest standard of wisdom.

With above perspective of the standard of wisdom we shall examine few cynical claims of the Quadiani Pretender. He claimed:

"I swear by Allah who has sent me as a messenger and against whom only the accursed forge a lie, that He has sent me and made me the promised Messiah. (Tabligh-i-Risalat, Vol. X, P. 18.)

He again intoned:

"My claim is that I am the promised Messiah about whom news has been given in all the Heavenly Scriptures that he will appear towards the end of the time." (Tohfa Golarwiyya, p. 195.)

The Pretender further asserted:

"I have not claimed that I am the promised Messiah and there will be no other Messiah after me. I, on the other hand, believe and I repeat this, that it is possible after me will come not one Messiah but tens of thousand." (Izalat-ul-Auham, p. 296)

Quite cynically the Quadiani Pretender Mirza Ghulam Ahmad held to himself as Mary mother of Jesus:

"Indeed, God named me Mary who had conceived Jesus. I am the object of the words of the Almighty in Surah Tahrim: 'And Mary daughter of Imran who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit,' as I am the only one who has claimed that I am Mary and that into me has been blown the soul of Jesus." (Haqiqat-ul-Wahy, p. 337 )

Qazi Yar Muhammad Quadiani quoting the Pretender Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Quadiani said:

"The promised Messiah (i.e. Ghulam Ahmad) once described his condition saying, 'I saw myself as if I am a women and God exhibited in me His manly power.' " (Islami Qurbani by Yar Muhammad Quadiani, p. 34.)

I have already refuted the Quadiani Pretender for attributing the animal qualities to God in part I of this book under the heading 'Elijah & Quadiani' but, however, here again I cited him for attempting to assert in Islam the Hindu Belief of metempsychosis.

As we have seen above that the Quadiani Pretender first claimed himself to have changed into Mary and then (we seek refuge of God for quoting the diabolical claim of the Pretender) who said: "God exhibited in him His manly power," and then he said:

"He blew into me the spirit of Jesus as he blew in Mary. I became pregnant by way of metaphor. After some months not exceeding ten months, I was changed from Mary and was made Jesus and in this way I became the son of Mary." (Saffeena-i-Nuh by Ghulam Ahmad, p. 47.)

Mr. Ehsan Elahi Zaheer in his book "Quadianiat An Analytical Survey" has refuted the Quadiani Pretender. I will repudiate the Pretender on a particular aspect.

The Holy Quran has revealed the bodily ascent of Jesus, and from the traditions of the Prophet we have learnt the bodily descent of Jesus from the sky that is why he is called the Promised Messiah. Jesus is bodily present in the heaven; he will be bodily descended before the Hour. The Quadiani Pretender refused to admit the bodily ascent of Jesus; and that he is bodily alive. He himself claimed to be Jesus, whose return was promised; and barked, 'tens of thousand Jesus will come,; and the spirit of Jesus was blown into his body.

The question arises, can a human soul leave a body and enter into another body? The Hindu polytheists believe, after death human soul reappears into different shapes. If the deceased was a noble man, his soul comes back into the shape of some sage or hermit, if he was a sinful man, his soul reappears into the shape of dog or donkey etc. The transition of spirit from one body to another body is called metempsychosis by the Hindus. This belief is against the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. Every spirit is confined to one body. The retribution and punishment will take place on soul and body together. The resurgence is the part of the Islamic faith i.e. bringing back to life, and the body will be raised;

"Who can give life to these bones when they have rotted away? Say (0 Muhammad!) He (God) will give them life Who created them for the first time! For He is well-versed in every kind of creation. (36/78,79)

The above revelation proved that all the bodies will be raised on the day of resurgence. Now suppose that the spirit was one; and after each death it continued to change bodies and thus it transmitted into ten thousand bodies; then at the day of Resurrection when all the bodies will be raised; how it can exist in all the bodies at a time. Because the life of every body depends on the presence of a spirit into it, i.e. to say the body which contains the spirit will be alive; and the other bodies will be corpses. And it is impossible that any human body which once found a life in this world should not be given life on the day of Resurrection. Therefore, the belief the transition of spirit from one body to another body is absurd and against reason.

Secondly, suppose one man took many births in this world, then how reckoning will take place on one spirit, and many bodies, as no reckoning can take place on the corpses. The Holy Quran and Sunnah which are the standards of wisdom for us state that when one find himself very close to the jaws of death:

"he saith: "My Lord! If only thou wouldst reprieve me for a little while, then I would give alms and be among the righteous But to no soul will God grant respite when the time appointed for it has come, and God is aware of what ye do." (42/10,11)

The above revelation makes it emphatically clear that when term of God comes, no soul will be given the slightest opportunity of doing any good. What a non-sense to talk of returning his soul once more in the world.

Repudiating the belief of metempsychosis God annunciates:

"Couldst thou but see when the guilty hang their heads before their Lord, (and say): Our Lord! we have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world): We will work righteousness: for we indeed (now) believe." (32/12)

So the sinners shall be rebuked for their mistaken request of procrastinating or for their wish to be sent back into this world.

Looking the most horrible tortures of the Hell the infidels will request:

"They say: Our Lord! Twice hastThou made us without life, and twice hast Thou made us live. Now we confess our sins. If there any way to go out? (40/11).

Abdullah Ibn Masud expounding the above revelation referred to the following verse of the Quran:

"Ye were without life and He gave life to you! Then He will give you death, And will again bring you to life, and then unto Him ye will return." (2/28)

Every human being shall have to pass the above stages of life and death, firstly he was without life as dust, a sperm drop in fathers back etc., secondly then he came out of his mother's womb in a true life on this earth, thirdly then came the cessation of his physical life i.e. the physical death, and fourthly on the day of Resurrection he will be given the second life. In other words there are two lives and two deaths, the first life when he came out of the womb of his mother, the second life which he shall have on the day of Resurrection. Similarly he was dead i.e. without spirit as sperm drop etc., then again he will meet the usual physical death.

The above revelations clearly lay down the Creator's will and plan as to life and death. There is no exception to this order. It is why when the sinners will request their return after looking the horrors of the Fire, they will simply be scolded for not availing the opportunity given to them in this wordly life.

The Quran and Hadith state the special favours of God which martyrs acquire. Jabir bin Abdullah narrated: "once the Prophet saw towards me and said, '0 Jabir! why do I see you grieved?' I said, '0 Apostle of God! My father was martyred (In the battle of Uhad cleaving the debt and children.'' The Prophet said, 'shouldn't I tell you that God never talked to any one except behind the veil, but he addressed your father directly and said. "You entreat, I will give." He (your father) asked, 'I beseech you to return me back to the world, so that I fight again in Thy name.' Lord the Gracious said: "I have already destined, 'they will not be sent back to this world (after their death).' " (Ahmad, Ibn Maja, Ibn Mardoya and others)

Imam Ahmad relates, the Apostle of God said, "The soul of a faithful is (the likeness) of a bird lives on the fruits of the Paradise till God will send it back to its body on the day of Resurrection."

Among the relaters of this Hadith there are three most popular Imams, Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal relates from Imam Muhammad bin Idrees Shafai and he from Imam Malik bin Anas. Thus this tradition has a very strong chain of evidence. The above tradition proves that no soul will be sent back to this world into its old or in a new body. Only on the day of Resurrection when all the deads will be raised, their souls will be blown back to their bodies.

The Quran and Hadith both rebut the dogma of metempsychosis and prove the false-hood of the Quadiani Pretender. His claim that Jesus' soul was blown into his body; he became Mary; and turned into Christ son of Mary; and ten thousand Jesus would come was only a damn loquacity and that he was prattling and braying whimsically against the august personality of Jesus.

The most emphatic denial of transmigration of soul from one body to another body by the Quran and Sunnah also proved that Jesus himself is bodily present in the sky. "His bodily descent will take place on a white minaret on the eastern side of Damascus. Dressed in two saffron sheets he will descend resting his hands on the wings of the angels." (narrated Al Nawas bin Saman).

The Holy Prophet's statement telling us that he will descend on the white minaret to east of Damascus also proved that every man born out of a womb claiming to be the promised Messiah is a liar, and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Quadiani was a liar.

  1. We could not be guided except by the guidance of the Prophet. Please see the Chapter 'Last Meccan Prophet' in part I of this book.
  2. The life of the Prophet as per Quranic injunctions. Please see part 1 'The Holy Prophet's Pattern'.
  3. Khazin.
  4. The horse like animal on which-the Holy Prophet ascended to heaven.
  5. This happened in Miraj the bodily ascension of the Prophet, it is considered one of his greatest miracles.
